Guide to Mentoring Associates

PGA Supervising Professionals,

Click here to review a guide that was designed by the PGA Education department for you.  This Supervising Guide was developed to help mentor PGA Associates through PGM 3.0.  For many of you, this program is different from the one you earned your membership in and will find this information helpful and more prepared to assist your Associate.

Click here to download the 2024 orientation packet that will help you understand the program your Associate is starting.

In our Section, Associates are required to complete Associate Mentoring Requirements. They will need to fulfill these three different types of requirements within a calendar year.  The three requirements are: attend a PGA Education, PGA Meeting and play in a PGA Chapter or Section Pro-Am and/or tournament.  Failing to meet these requirements will result in a loss of their playing privileges. Your Associate will also need to attend a Chapter Orientation before they can gain their playing privileges.

The Pacific Northwest Section provides outstanding programs for its professionals.  We encourage you to be aware of our tournament program, education offerings, Merchandise Show, and other services.  Our website’s Education Opportunities page, ForeWord Press e-Magazine and the Online Member Handbook are your guides to these offerings.

As you help your Associate through the steps towards becoming a PGA Member, the Section is also here to help them succeed and achieve all their requirements.  Be sure to contact the staff at 800-688-4653 if you have any questions.
