We are saddened to report the passing of Mike M. “Mickey” Stray, PGA Life Member of Yakima, WA. Born in Tacoma, WA, Mickey attended Stadium High School before serving his country in the United States Air Force from 1943 to 1963. Mickey began his journey in the golf industry as an assistant at Meadow Park Golf Course in Tacoma, WA. In 1968, he was elected to PGA Membership, an honor that he cherished throughout his life. He was a fixture at the City of Kent Golf Complex in the 1980s, where he served as a head professional and helped to shape the next generation of golfers.
Mickey’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 11:00am, at Brookside Funeral Home (500 W. Prospect, Moxee, WA 98936). A Reception will follow. A Celebration of Life will also be held on Sunday, June 11, 2023, at 1:30pm, at the McCormick Woods Golf Course (5155 McCormick Woods Dr., SW, Port Orchard, WA 98367).
