Caleb Hung Joins PGA LEAD Class of 2019-2020

Caleb Hung has been selected from the Pacific Northwest Section to join the 2019-2020 Class of PGA LEAD. Caleb is the Membership and Communications Director at Overlake G&CC in Medina, WA. He joins 14 others from around the country, who will come together for the first time at next month’s PGA Show to kick off this two-year leadership development program.

“It’s an incredible honor to have been selected for the 2019-2020 PGA Lead class,” said Caleb. “I’m excited to meet the rest of my classmates and find out what we can all learn from each other.  As the business of golf evolves, having the opportunity to be a part of a program like PGA LEAD is incredibly valuable and I hope to play a part in expanding the role of PGA Professionals in our industry.”

Simultaneously, the 15 PGA members of the PGA LEAD Class of 2018-2019 will enter into their second year in the program, including PNW PGA members Ryan Young and Lacy Erickson, and will also be hosted by the Association at the PGA Show. Past PGA LEAD members of the Pacific Northwest Section also include Howie Pruitt, Jorge Diaz, Robyn Lorain and Quincy Heard.

PGA LEAD was launched by the PGA of America and its National Diversity & Inclusion Committee in 2016 in an effort to identify, mentor and progress a dedicated group of PGA members from diverse backgrounds, who aspire to leadership roles within the Association, on a guided path. Six PGA LEAD members or alumni have gone on to attain Section Officer or Board Directorships.  In addition, 15 PGA LEAD members or alumni will be participating on National Committees in 2019-2020.
