Our Senior PGA Championship came to a close this afternoon at Bear Creek CC. Jeff Coston of Semiahmoo G&CC came out on top after capturing the title for the sixth straight year!
Coston, Doug Doxsie, Tom Sovay, Brent Murray, Chuck Milne, Jim Pike, Jeff Shaw, Jeff Fought, Steve Stull and Mark Keating all advanced to the 2011 Senior PGA Professional National Championship at Creighton Farms, Aldie, Virginia and River Creek Club, Leesburg, Virginia on October 6-9. Good luck boys!
Congratulations to Ted Wurtz of MeadowMeer G&CC won the Senior Division after beating his age. Wurtz also captured the Hugh Starkweather award which goes to the low player for both rounds that is 60 years and older. Ryan O’Donnell of Columbia Edgewater CC and Rick Adell of Bellevue, WA tied for first in the net division of the Senior Division.
And another hole-in-one this week. Mark Keating of Astoria G&CC aced the ninth hole. He used a 5-iron from 204 yards to be our eight professional with a Sterling Savings Bank account. Congratulations!
