When I was captain in 2007, I had to lace up my shoes and play two matches due to one team member having a family emergency. It felt great to be able to help out the team!
I will say the players dinner is the best. Anytime Jerry Mowlds was at those dinners speaking was very memorable for all the right reasons. One of the funniest memories was trying to give Scotty Krieger a putt at Aldarra and he wouldn’t accept my concession. Quote: “Tommy, you don’t want to give me these.”
Toughest match: 1993 Bellingham G&CC Individual match against Jerry Cundari, an Oregon Duck who was a fierce competitor. I won 1 up.
