Dates of Program: 1-2 times per year in Spring/Summer

Results of Program

12 players participated and had a great time.

Revenue Generated: $3,000. Mostly in wedge sales, some instructor revenue.

Details of Program

  • $150 per player for 1.5 hour wedge clinic.
  • Included – 1 wedge, whiskey tasting, instruction and wedge fitting. Can bring in whiskey vendors or buy at store and setup.
  • We offered 1 cigar per player as part of the fee as well.
  • ~ 1 instructor per 6 students. ~$150 per instructor revenue after expenses paid. The rest is wedge sale revenue.
  • First 1 hour spent on full swing wedge shots, last 15-30 minutes spent on chipping and pitching.

Recommendations

Suggest 1 instructor per 6 students but could do up to 10 depending on experience and clinic cost. Invite vendor to do fitting and schedule in advance to secure date. Then, Instructors can focus on teaching with some fitting involved. Suggest hourly staff to be a “server” for whiskey but not required. Members can do this on their own. Can provide beer and soft drinks in a cooler for those that don’t prefer whiskey.
