Eligibility

Players MUST be eighteen (18) years of age or younger on the final day of each respective National Championship to be eligible to earn an exemption. A player that will become 19 years of age prior to the end of his or her respective National Championship (Boys: July 16, 2020 – Girls: July 31, 2020) will not be allowed to compete.

Players under 16 years of age who wish to qualify for the National Championship must register in the oldest (16-18) age division and play from the same tees (Boys 16-18 – 6565 yards (Black Tees) and Girls 16-18 – 6044 yards (Blue Tees)) as the oldest (16-18) division. For 2020 due to the limited field size, participants must be 14 years of age or higher as of June 19 in order to be eligible to play in the 16-18 age group.

All players must have permanent residence within the boundaries of the Pacific Northwest PGA Section prior to April 1, 2020, and maintain such residence through the Section Championship (June 19). Players establishing permanent residency after April 1 may appeal for entry to the Pacific Northwest PGA Section.

Entry Priority/Field Size

Entry Priority: based on receipt of a complete, eligible entry.

Field size: limited to first 60 eligible boys and first 60 eligible girls participants in the 16-18 age division that are received by the entry deadline on June 3 at 5:00 PM.

In an effort to hold this event this year, have our National qualifiers and run the event safely, there will only be the 16-18 age division in 2020.  We are sorry for the inconvenience this may cause you.  We plan on holding the event with all three age divisions (12 & Under, 13-15 and 16-18) back in 2021.

Tournament Format – 18 Holes

An 18-hole stroke play competition based on the lowest gross scores. In 2020, the age divisions are Boys 16-18 and Girls 16-18.

Distance measuring devices are allowed while caddies are NOT allowed.

If a junior under the age of 16 is interested in playing, they may if they are 14 years of age or older as of June 19.  For the third straight year, there are two spots to advance in each of the Boys’ and Girls’ 16-18 age division.

The winning Boy and Girl Champions (plus runner-up) will represent the Pacific Northwest Section in the National Junior PGA Championship.
