Passing of Mr. Bill Mulflur

It is with much sadness that I must inform you of the passing of Mr. Bill Mulflur. Bill was ninety-four.  Bill was a long-time supporter of golf in Oregon and the Northwest, working formerly as the Oregon PGA Senior Tournament Director for many years.  He spent twenty-four years with the Oregon Journal and another six years for the Oregonian.  No matter his publication, Bill always ensured great coverage of the local golf scene. His passion for the great game of golf was evident in every piece he penned.  In addition to covering golf, Bill also covered college athletics, the NBA, and high school athletics.

It is certainly worth noting that his son, Tom, owns MacKenzie Golf Bag company while his daughter, Mary Lou, is the coach of the Washington Huskies Women’s Golf team.  Her 2016 team was, in fact, National Champions.  Very clearly, his legacy and his love for our game lives on as his legacy in his children.

Please join me in sending our heartfelt sympathy to his family and friends.

Sincerely,

Howie Pruitt, PGA
President
