In Memory of Ray Worden

Ray-Worden
Mike Worden (L) and his father Ray (R)

By Mike Worden, written 5/10/2016

My father has been a part of the golfing community for over 50 years now. It all started with my father and eventually my brother Bob and then here I am.

My father passed away yesterday he was 89 years old. Almost made it to 90 in July. He died right where he loved to be, the golf course! It’s funny, we have played hundreds of rounds with my father and I don’t think I had ever taken a video of him playing. Yesterday I took a video of Dad thinking that maybe this might be the last time we play golf together since he was aging. Little did I know it would be the second to last swing of his golfing career and his life. My brother Boyd and I were with him when it happened and he did not suffer. God took him quickly and now he joins my brother Bob.

I know my father would want to thank everyone who has ever touched his life. His journey has been a long and delightful one in the golf business. Services will be at :
