Join the Ranks of Champions

The Rosauers Open Invitational has been on a part of the PNW PGA tournament program since 1988. This popular golf tournament has almost always been hosted at Indian Canyon GC. Gary Lindeblad has been the PGA Professional at Indian Canyon since 1984. He surprised his hometown fans with a victory in 1990.

The record for most Rosauers wins is held by Corey Prugh of Manito CC (2009, 2011 & 2013) and Jeff Coston of Semiahmoo G&CC (1997, 2006, and 2008). Prugh also set the tournament record of 192 in 2009. Other notable past champions are Tim Feenstra (2014), David Phay (2012), Ryan Benzel (2005), Casey McCoy (2001), Todd Erwin (2000) and Rob Gibbons (1991). Will you add your name to a long list of amazing champions this July?

Last year, PGA Professional Tim Feenstra of Broadmoor GC won by two strokes over low amateur Drew McCullough of Meadow Springs CC. Feenstra came from four behind the leaders and fired an 11-under par 61 tying the course record set by Corey Prugh of Manito G&CC a few days prior. Feenstra’s round consisted of seven birdies and two eagles.

Play one of Washington’s Most Desired Courses to Play

We are excited to return to Indian Canyon GC! The course was built in 1935 for $200,000. H. Chandler Egan, a member of the PNGA Hall of Fame, crafted the Canyon’s layout over the well treed hillside southwest of the Spokane River.

This municipal track has been annually rated among Golf Digest’s “Best Public Courses”, “Best Affordable Courses”, “Best Golf Courses You Can Play”, “Best in State” and taken individually, some holes rank with the best holes found on any course – public or private – in the region. Indian Canyon’s lofty acclaim is well deserved.

Indian Canyon hosted the 1941 and 1984 Public Links Championships. When Bill Welch was victorious in 1941, he concluded “After I played Indian Canyon, I never wanted to go back to Texas again. I never saw a golf course that beautiful in my whole life…. I did return to Texas, but only to pack my bags and move to Spokane.”
