Come “Home” to the Home Course

The Home Course was designed by golf course architect Mike Asmundson of Scottsdale, Arizona and opened on June 29, 2007. It is a walkable layout with panoramic views of Puget Sound, the Olympic Mountains, and Mount Rainier present throughout the golf course.

The Home Course was selected by the United States Golf Association as the assisting course for the 2010 U.S. Amateur Championship. The Home Course will assist the primary course, Chambers Bay Golf Course in University Place, WA in conducting America’s National Amateur Championship. It is truly a great championship golf course at the home of golf in the Pacific Northwest.

A Senior Tradition

The Senior PGA Professional Championship was established in 1952. Back then, the championship was held at the Yakima Elks’ G&CC with only 21 professionals battling it out for the mere sum of $920 dollars. The famous Bob Duden won the championship six times during the 70’s and seven times overall. Today, this is a popular event for Section seniors.

Last year, PGA Professional Steve Stull of Meadow Springs CC won the Senior PGA Professional Championship by two strokes over PGA Professional Joe Carranza of Aldarra Golf Club.

Seniors, Get Ready to Play

The more players we have sign up for our Senior PPC the more spots we will receive to advance to the National Championship.  Our spots increase as our player numbers increase! Players qualifying to the Senior PPC will receive a bonus payout of $300 each.

The Senior PGA Professional Championship has Senior Hudson Cup points (worth 1.5 times the normal value) and Senior Player of the Year points! Plan on playing!

The PGA of America has adopted the condition of competition for Grooves and/or Punch Marks at the Section level of the Pacific Northwest Senior PGA Professional Championship. ALL PLAYERS choosing to play in the Championship Division MUST comply with this condition of competition. This condition is in place for any senior who is playing the Championship Division regardless of whether they are trying to qualify for the Senior Professional National Championship – this condition does not apply to players choosing to play in the Senior Division.
