Former Pacific Northwest Section member Elwin Fanning passed away in Everett on January 5 from heart complications. Elwin was the helm of Kayak Point Golf Course in Stanwood from its opening through 1998. Elwin was a frequent competitor in our championships and was the 1998 Pacific Northwest Senior PGA Champion, the 1966 Pacific Northwest Amateur Champion and 1968 Oregon Amateur Champion.
