Brad Leiken, 49, of Ramsey, Illinois, died on Monday, July 15, 2013, after a valiant battle with small intestine cancer, surrounded by family. He was a long time member of our Section.
Brad was a tremendous golfer, carrying his PGA certification in both teaching and course management. He fulfilled his lifetime dream of owning and managing a golf course with the purchase of Ramsey Lake Golf Club in 2009 with his parents. Brad, his parents, his wife and children all lived and worked his dream together. Brad had previously managed both Oak Hills Golf Club in Sutherlin, OR and Emerald Valley Golf Club in Creswell, OR.
In addition to the services in IL, there will be a Celebration of life on August 10 at the Umpqua Golf Resort in Sutherlin, OR. There will be a reception from 2:00 – 4:00 with the services at 4:00.
