Trophy for Tam O'Shanter GC
Professional Brian Coury, Tam O'Shanter Club Champion
Matt Cole and Title Sponsor Scott Nelson
The Tam O'Shanter GC team of Brian
Coury and Matt Cole defeated the Triolgy GC team of Tom Sovay and
Rajurs Pradeep with a birdie on the second playoff hole
to claim the 2008 Champions Trophy.
Each team had carded 66's to lead the teams eligible for the trophy.
Scott Williams and son Jeff actually won low gross honors with a
great 63. Coury and Cole won low net honors for the day, also
with a 63. Coury had the day's low professional round (69) in
qualifying for the Washington State Match Play Championship, earning
him the number 1 seed. Pat Howard of Overlake G&CC captured
the second seed with a 70, followed by Ryan Benzel of Mill Creek CC
and Eric Benjamin of Sand Point CC with 71's. Thanks go out to TPC
Snoqualmie Ridge for hosting, to Scott Nelson and Cleveland Golf for
their Title Sponsorship, and to Scott and Srixon and Ivory Headwear
and Garth Mattson for their product sponsorships.

Matt Ristine defeated Pat Howard of
Overlake G&CC on the first sudden death hole to win the 2008 Pelzer
Golf Supplies / Garth Mattson Pacific Northwest Golf Sales 2008
Washington State Assistants' Championship at Sahalee CC on February
21. Ristine and Howard had each shot fine 3-under par rounds
of 69 to edge 3rd place finishers Ryan Benzel of Seattle GC (2007
Champion) and Joe Puetz of Harbour Pointe GC by a single stroke.
Thanks go out to Sahalee CC for hosting the event for the second
straight year and to Craig Pelzer and Garth Mattson for their
continuing title sponsorship.

Series

sponsorship of the WWC PGA's Pro-Member and Senior Pro-Am series for
2008. Bridgestone Golf sales representative Dave Curtis was
instrumental in the company's decision and is excited for the
upcoming year. Amateur KP winners will each receive a dozen
