1998 Tournament:
Seven different players finished 11-under par at one point on the back nine of the final round. Jeff Freeman, of Tamarisk CC, started the final round with a one stroke lead. By the 18th green Freeman birdied the 17 and 18 to catch Tim Hval, of Broadmoor GC (Portland), and force extra holes. Freeman defeated Hval on the first hole of sudden-death to claim the $12,000 first prize.
