TPC Snoqualmie Ridge

Snoqualmie, WA - TPC Snoqualmie Ridge, Par 72, 6895 Yards - Large galleries and beautiful weather showed up early on May 24th, 2000. Everyone was interested in how some of the Pacific Northwests' bests would fair at TPC Snoqualmie Ridge. 1996 thru 1999 Washington Open defending champion Jeff Coston was steady in the 12:00 grouping, finishing 2 under for the day, taking third. John McComish had an impressive week, carding a final round 74 and total of 210 (4 under), 3rd place. Todd Erwin stood his ground with good golfing, and then some. He finished with a two under par 70 for the day (35,35) and a three day total of 205, eleven under par. Todd mentioned he had been there before and was happy to be given the company of his fellow competitors, Jeff Coston, and John McComish, but this time it seemed to be his week. Todd captures his third WAOpen Championship. Last players to win three were Al Mengert (63,64,65), and Bob Duden(60,69,70). Some very pleasant company to a young Todd Erwin.

Shot of the day - Tom Sovay holed a seven iron for an eagle on the 16th hole. Also mentioning an eagle on the 18th by Tumwater Valleys Stu Aden, who holed a wedge from around a hundred.
