Congratulations to Ryan Gilmour who fired a "kinda-sorda" low score of 28-32--60 at Wildhorse Golf Course on June 30th. The next day (final round) he shot a 32-33--65; which in turn crowned him as the 2009 Wildhorse Resort & Casino Pro-Am Series Finale Champion.

This 2 Day tournament consisted of 52 teams. The OPGA was able to pay out another healthy purse duly noted to Wildhorse Resort & Casino's sponsorship. Our many thanks goes to Gary E. George, Chielf Operating Officer of WRC, & the hard working staff at Wildhorse.

Stuart Smart, PGA
Smart Golf Learning Center

Meet long time OPGA Professional, Stuart Smart. He was formally with Smart Golf and is now Director of Golf Instruction at Smart Golf Learning Center through Cascade Athletic Club in Gresham Oregon. Cascade Athletic Club is all about life sport activities and is a good fit for golf. Stuart offers individual, group, junior and junior camp lessons at Cascade Athletic Club.

In addition to offering lessons at Cascade, Stuart also has on course instruction at Greenlea G.C. to help people transition out onto the course with less intimidation.

Stuart has served on the OPGA board and he is an active participant in the senior pro-ams. Stop in and see Stuart at Cascade Athletic Club!
