Results of Program

The first time at Moose Run, we had 40 players per night.

Total Revenue Generated: Over $25,000 during the season in fees, food and beverages.

Details of Program

  • Session fee $30 - $40 per player.
    • 9 holes, 2 person scramble geared towards all audiences with flights for couples and new players plus an open division for the better players and men’s teams.
    • The entry fee includes golf, pizza and prizes. Pizza was sponsored by a local restaurant.
    • Players are there mainly to enjoy the evening and to eat pizza. It is a very casual affair with lots of comraderie and some prizes.

Recommendations

  • Consistency in the program was the key to growing it.
  • Partnered with a local pizza restaurant that is very pro-military.
  • Make everyone feel like they are there for the pizza and friendship and make the competition secondary.
  • Have a refreshment cart available at the cart staging area for check-ins. This is really when it was an extreme social setting. People arrived as early as they could to visit prior to play and enjoy a beverage.
  • If weather forces a shortened night, remember they are there mostly for the pizza.
