  • Junior Registration: All youth between the ages of 8 and prior to graduation from High School may register for the First Tee Junior program.

Registration for the 2008 season begins March 1st.  Join the over 600 juniors already in the program. Last years students must register again for this season.

Registration and the ultimate ball drop fund raiser is once again a combined effort the 2006 season.  Contact Kevin Bishop at 493-1000 for questions and/or details.

How the program works? Group lessons are offered weekly, Monday through Thursday and some Saturdays with the majority of classes being conducted from June through September.  In addition, Fridays will be set aside as a testing day for kids wishing to move up through the program levels.  Students are classified in levels according to age and ability and have requirements and goals to complete to move on to the next level of participation. First Tee, Par, Birdie, Eagle, and Champions Levels are offered to accommodate all levels of ability from the recreational beginner to the aspiring Tiger Woods.  For planning purposes class schedules are provided far in advance.  Simply plan which classes work best for you.  First come/first serve call in begins every Friday AM to sign up for classes offered within the next two week time period. (A max. of two classes per week may be registered for).  Juniors may go at the pace they desire, signing up for many classes or just getting "tune-ups" as they wish.  The program is designed to fit your schedule so children can continue to participate in their other activities while still enjoying The First Tee golf program.  Special practice and play rates and bonuses are offered to children through participation and completion of various levels.  Both golf skills and life skill instruction and discussions are offered through the leadership of PGA Professionals and capable volunteers.

The program is designed to provide the opportunity for all children to participate, at the pace they wish. While learning the game of golf is fun, the learning of the 9 life skills, as they relate to the game is what really sets the First Tee apart from other Jr. Golf Programs.  It truly is a game for a life time.

Note: Starting in 2005 we added a 6 week Spring and Fall session to the calendar.  The spring session will start in May and be geared towards the new kids to the program for 2006.  Information will be available from the school systems throughout Thurston County and The Olympian newspaper in early Spring.
